Coming up for Air...

2012 has started out busy for both Jeff and I...

Jeff has started classes at AUM - going towards a degree in 2nd Ed - focusing on P.E. and coaching... He's taking Biology II and Western Lit - both a bit of a challenge but he's enjoying the reading for his lit class - including several plays. Good thing he's had a bit more theatre to help him out...

As for me, I'm on the 4th show ASF has put on it's feet since the New Year - In the Book Of and the hour long touring version of A Midsummer Night's Dream went up the first week of January.  Midsummer will tour and perform off and on in house all spring, and Book Of closed in time for The 39 Steps to go into tech, directly followed by Travels with My Aunt which previews tonight and opens Sunday. We have a breath next week before putting on two live music performances - a bluegrass celebration of a local artist's 70th birthday and then the Love Songs of Elvis and Buddy Holly on the 13th and 14th of Feb. - a performance by two "tribute" artists who are amazingly talented and have a great back up band. They're regular guest artists with us and it's always nice to have them in house.

As for what's going on outside of work and school - spring has arrived in the south early... bringing with it early blooming trees, shrubs, rain - along with tornadoes and fleas. I could do without the latter two, frankly. (Our in laws had a touch town in Trussville about two miles from their house. Scary...)

Our fur kids haven't seen much of us - especially me - and are not pleased. Sebastian gave me a thorough meowing at last night when I got home around 11:30. Loki has so much pent up energy he acts like an 80 pound Jack Russel bouncing up and down constantly - which is a bit much at any time, never mind first thing in the morning!

The best forward looking news is that my niece Elizabeth is getting married in August and I'll be a part of the wedding. Looking forward to it!!
